Platform Requirements

macOS

System Audio requires a virtual audio driver to capture computer audio output.

Recommended virtual audio drivers for macOS:

DriverNotes
BlackHoleFree, open source
LoopbackCommercial, feature-rich
SoundflowerLegacy, may have compatibility issues

Setup Steps (BlackHole)

  1. Download and install BlackHole 2ch
  2. Open Audio MIDI Setup (Applications → Utilities)
  3. Create a Multi-Output Device combining your speakers and BlackHole
  4. Set the Multi-Output Device as your system output
  5. In Cliqer, select BlackHole 2ch as the system audio device

Windows

System audio capture works natively on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Select your audio output device or Stereo Mix in the device dropdown.

Microphone Permission

When using Microphone or Both modes, Cliqer requests microphone access.

Grant permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Enable Cliqer.

Cliqer only requests microphone permission when you explicitly enable microphone sharing. The app does not request microphone access by default.
