NDI Timer Output
Cliqer can broadcast the presentation timer as an NDI® (Network Device Interface) source, making it available to any NDI-compatible production software on your network — including vMix, OBS (with NDI plugin), Wirecast, and TriCaster.
How It Works
When NDI output is enabled, Cliqer sends the timer display as a live video feed over your local network. Production software can then receive the feed and overlay it on your broadcast.
Cliqer Timer → NDI Sender → Network → vMix / OBS / Wirecast
The NDI source appears as Cliqer Timer (or similar) in your production software's NDI source list.
Platform Support
| Platform | Status |
|---|---|
| Windows x64 | ✅ Fully supported |
| Windows ARM64 | ⚠️ Not available — NDI libraries require x64 |
| macOS | ✅ Supported |
Setup
- Start Cliqer on a supported platform
- Open the Timer panel
- The NDI sender starts automatically when the timer display window is opened
- Open your production software and add an NDI source — look for the Cliqer timer source
Receiving the NDI Source
vMix
- In vMix, click Add Input → NDI / Desktop Capture
- Select the Cliqer timer NDI source from the list
- Position and resize as needed in your production
OBS Studio
- Install the obs-ndi plugin
- Add a new NDI™ Source in your scene
- Select the Cliqer timer from the source dropdown
Wirecast / TriCaster
Add an NDI source using the standard NDI input workflow in your production software.
Transparent Background
The NDI timer output supports transparent backgrounds when the receiving software handles alpha channels, allowing you to overlay the timer on top of other content without a visible background box.
Troubleshooting
NDI Source Not Appearing
- Ensure Cliqer and your production software are on the same network
- Check that no firewall is blocking NDI traffic (NDI uses mDNS for discovery)
- Restart Cliqer and refresh the NDI source list in your production software
NDI Option Not Available
- You may be running on an ARM64 Windows device — install the x64 version of Cliqer instead
- Verify the NDI runtime is available on your system
